I brought my truck inside for some maintenance, new front axles, bearings and seals, I’ll clean up the brakes and maybe finally install the heavy duty steering bar and new dampener. Definitely will clean up those rusty springs. Ball joints seem great still. Big difference in the axle shaft diameter. Hopefully these are at least as strong as stock if not stronger.
Yes I’m definitely changing the seals while I’m there. They look to be the same size but I will slide one on first to be sure. I’m just having a hard time finding something suitable to drive the seal into the housing. I’m thinking I need to find a correct piece of pipe, I don’t want to damage the face seal or distort it.
I got a little more work done today, cleaned up and painted the brake parts, coil springs, finally installed a heavy duty drag king and new steering stabilizer. Fumes are bad now in the garage. Lol I’m done for a bit.

Got a little more done this morning, greased all the joints, drive shafts, tie rod ends, hopefully change a bad O2 sensor next, get it back down on 4wheels, connect the new wheel speed sensors. And go for a quick drive while it’s dry out. Than back in to go through the rear end.
Might as well bedliner the flares too. Lol. Gonna be in my garage all winter at this point.
I just used raptor liner for the first time last weekend. I have to say I was very impressed with the ease of use and price. The durability seems good because we've certainly tested it a lot at work and I haven't seen much if any damage after heavy use. I'd use it again for renewing some old flares (like I just did) if the flares were going to ever see branches or bushes.
Well I pulled her out of the garage, took a short spin while it was dry out, backed her into the garage to go over the back end of the truck. Found stress cracks in the spare tire mount, pulled and it and started prepping for repair and reinforcing. Pulled the rear ladder off for a clean up and a coat of bedliner too.
