It's not a Rover build thread, MGB with Ford 302 power :D
awesome write-ups AR. wow. so much work you've done, it's really amazing. our next door neighbor when I was a kid had one like that- just one color though. never forget it- it was orange on black. there is something about those old MG's...
So went to my Dad's where the MGB stayed inside for the winter today. Apparently there was damage I didn't notice in the hood hinges. No matter what I tried I could not get the hood aligned enough to even close.
To top it off the damn brakes were soft when I backed it out of the garage....

New hinges and a brake master cylinder are on the way. Second hydraulic part I have had fail from URO Parts in just over a year of use. I am done buying junk parts from that manufacturer.
Got the new hinge in and the hood lined up. Also replaced the stupid locking hood support with a twin lift arm set up. It allows the hood to open much further and gives better access to the drivers side of the engine bay.
It was to cold to dip the hood today and I had a senior moment and left the master cylinder at my house two hours away. So with a soft brake pedal and a prayer I cruised top down home.
Maybe tomorrow if the rain holds off. You can see the Disco II in the back ground.
