On my last rock crawling outing I ended up slightly bending my RTE SS HD tie rod. I decided to upgrade the piece to a 7075 aluminum tie rod with Chevy 1 ton tie rod ends.
the conversion to the 1 ton TRE requires reaming the knuckles to 7 deg but was otherwise straight forward.
If anyone is interested I have a brand new spare RTE HD tie rod and tie rod ends for sale.

Do you mind listing parts needed for this build and where you got the reamer tool?

Thanks!
Sorry for the delay. Parts below
7075 aluminum tie rod is 45.5 in length with 1.5 in outer diameter with right hand and left hand threads for 7/8-18 thread size. The tie rod can be purchased from Wide Open Designs.
The reamer is a 7 degree reamer purchased fro Rough Country.
The GM 1 ton tie rod ends are part numbers ES2234R (right hand) and ES2234L (left hand).
Did some wheeling with friends at Deer Valley yesterday which was a ton of fun. Project $$$ pit performed great. I did end up with a nice ding on the rear passenger door from a boulder and my fuel sender unit seems to have stopped working mid way through the trail perhaps from all the bouncing around but otherwise was a fun weekend.
about how much material was removed when once the reaming was completed? Only ask bc if it's substantial its a lot harder to fix a broken knuckle/hub on the trail than a bent tie rod. I've seen this done a few times now and has my attention as my disco weighs an unholy amount and my classic is on 35s and like 5-6" of lift so beefing up some steering is never a bad idea.
