Did the bushings and rear ball joint these are mediums from rovers north 179 full set with shock bushings think brand is flow thane made in uk

We unbolted the rear ball joint using a 30mm gooseneck/offset box wrench, heated the center section and drove the bolts out with lead hammer to split rear A arm and popped out the ball joint on 20 ton hf press while hot, used same press to change all bushings
Bushings I have done in the past on other vehicles were always energy brand and while it comes in colors iirc they are all the same firmness, these seem much more compliant/ softer I believe the kit should have been all hard at rears, panhard and upper A, just medium at frame ends of lower control arms
Due to type of movement

The rover gods have been kind on this suspension job and I truly believe this can all be done in 8 hrs or less with proper tools and little knowhow unless you run into major problems I would not attempt this without at least a 20 ton shop press though I am sure it can be done

I did this job over the summer. I bought a 20 ton press off craigslist. I learned the zinger is the press plates. Good ones cost almost as much as the press. The cast iron plates that come with HF-crap are very dangerous as they explode. Besides that, you want the right size press pins... or you end up using sockets.

Even with a 20 ton press, there was one radius arm bushing I could not move. I took it to a local shop. 70-ton pneumatic/hydro press... nope... 70 ton pneumatic/hydro press plus oxy/acetylene torch.... nope. After the torch burned all the rubber out, the shell was ultimately removed by cutting it with the torch and a die grinder. New superpros don't have the metal shells.

Besides my story... how did you decide to replace the a-arm ball joint? Just because it was old? That was the only part I didn't do. Was thinking about a X-ball but my stock joint is working good. I think. Is there a test?
