You spent many many thousands of dollars on your engine.
Spend $5.00 on the Torque Pro app and another $15.00 on a dang bluetooth dongle from Amazon. Check your MIL status, read and clear codes, see what your O2's are doing in real time, along with a million other things.
Geesh, hipsters these days!
you dumped all that money on the truck and did not buy yourself an obdii scanner?
If it were me going to Alaska I would at least spend the $120 on an icarsoft scanner, unless you think Eskimo Joe is going to be able to read your abs codes for you
I'm pretty sure he has a Scangauge, but that isn't going to make sensor problems go away. All of those codes are for sensors after the cats which typically don't go bad. The 0141 is the heater circuit on Bank 1, the 0161 is the heater circuit on Bank 2 and the 0160 is no activity on Bank 2. My money is on bad connections. The plugs on the O2 sensors can get a little fussy on a truck that old from the Northeast. I'd unplug them, spray the connectors with cleaner, plug them back in, clear the codes and see what happens.
Regarding the bearings, they don't look that bad for a Rover engine with 150k on it that probably spent the bulk of it's life running cheap dino oil at long change intervals. The lifter valley looks pretty nasty though. Were you running Rotella in that thing?

That is correct. I can read and clear codes all day The mechanic used some form of Mobil break in oil and told me I could switch to my preferred Shell Rotella for the next oil change.
If my wallet was bottomless I would have invested in a advanced diagnostic computer for my truck, I think the good ones run for around $1,500+. But seeing how I just sunk in over $10,000 and my wallet is NOT bottomless... was not able to invest in the computer
Right now Im working on removing the ecm to inspect the pins. Next I will inspect the engine bay fuse box. When the ground dries up a bit I will take a look at the 02 sensors themselves.
The ECM is clean so I put everything back together. I also briefly checked the engine bay fuse box to see if anything was out of the ordinary. F5 40 amp fuse was blown so I replaced it. Before I left for AK I recall one of these fuses was blown, possibly the F5. I will have to look into to more. Some of the FL series fuses have some green corrosion built up. Cleaned the MAF sensor with cleaner, cleared codes and took the truck for a short drive around the block. P0141 and P0161 codes came back as pending.
Connectors are clean and undamaged.
Again everything is clean and undamaged.
in the engine bay was blown so I replaced it. cant remember but I think that is the same fuse that keeps blowing. Will have to look into this.
Some of the FL series fuses have green corrosion on the metal. Ive never seen these fuses before so I left them alone but I will probably replace those ASAP.
