Confirmed t-stat is dead. Drove 1.5 miles, parked right at 230 degrees. Parked and popped hood — lower hose coming off of rad to t-stat was stone dead cold while the others were hot and pressurized!

That sucks, but good news and a simple fix!

Told ya so!

Was it a genuine grey 180 stat? If so, that counts a few too many failures of brand new stats, including mine. I'm going to try to the Britpart black one on the next swap.

That's why having a Infrared IR Thermometer gun is so important in diagnostics. It can answer questions pretty quickly.

Aye, they are. I find mine more useful as a cat toy though

Called Lucky8, and things have been sorted. Have to buy a new t-stat, but after the claim to manufacture goes through I’ll get reembursed. Need to provide a picture and a brief explanation and that’s it.

Maybe ths $60 for a new t-stat would be better spent on the inline setup?

Hmm.. Noticed the windshield wipers were acting all weird. Did some digging, apparently the contacts in the column can get all mucked up.

Also gotta bleed the brakes -- pedal feel is good initially then it gets rock hard and you basically have to stand on the damn thing to get the truck to a full stop.

The list goes on and on..

Speaking of a list, this is what i need to finish:

Tranny filter / fluid
Diff fluid
Bleed brakes
Fix headliner
Redo rear bumper and add some more metal to it
Weld muffler hole
Install bull guard in front
Install USB plug in cig lighter
Get new windshiled
New wiper blades
Check alignment
SMOG
Fix SRS light

Ugh. Writing all that down was depressing.

Hot digity, got the SRS light fixed. Plugged in code reader and found that the "LH" pretensioner was fautly and that was it. Read up on this issue, so i tried to unplug and clean out the yellow connection under the drivers seat.. Did so and plugged it back in and no more light!
