At 157k now. I am tempted to sell and get a more commuter friendly car but we'll see

Been super hot here lately, AC probably needs to be recharged. 90ish temps out, with AC i'll sit anywhere from 194 - 204 in traffic so not bad.

The black on the hood is starting to be really tatty so maybe i'll sand that down this weekend and repaint.. Hmmmm

 

How far of a commute do you drive?

 

About 75miles a day.

 

At least fuel is relatively inexpensive at the mount. My commute is about 70 a day, so yes...while driving the Dll...14 mpg...gas stations were visited often. With the Defender, l've got about a 375 mile range (400 if l'm feeling lucky), at 23 mpg, and go a week or so without needing fuel.

lt's to bad they didn't put more effort into increasing fuel mileage on these Dl and Dll's. 17 or 18 would definitely make it less painful.

 

I fill up once a week -- i usually get 350 miles or so a tank, generally filling up about 20 gallons per fill. That should put me in the high 16's, or higher.. right? (Distance / gallons = miles?)

I think i'm just bored and looking for a project.

Rolled past 160k the other day. Havent had a chance to replace anything other than the new expansion tank

Vw is up and running, fuel pump was bad. Basically gutted the interior, cleaned every nook and cranny and power washed everything. Just need to change the oil and deal with the stupid DMV / Smog..
