Or just keep what inventory they have.
Guy I talked to behind the counter didn't seem to into the army/navy surplus and his inventory.....more interested in selling Carharts.
Seems the 'Surplus' is a gimmick to get people in the store.

Anywhooooo.......More to check out tomorrow, todays a travel day!

I think you nailed their business model right there. Get a truck load of some cheap surplus, mark it up high so you wont have to restock, and sell tchotckies (or Carhartt / manly stuff) at crazy markup, and Bob's your uncle.

The news that uncle Sam is phazing out the metal cans has some guys thinkin they got gold

They also threatin that cammies are gonna be shredded not sold surplus so same b.s.

A lot of this is just crap from gun show gypsies that some people are nieve enough to believe

When I work my one job I get all the cans I want since they scrap em, plastic saw cans to but I have yet to find a use for them so in the trash they go

I have a few I used to keep welding rods on my trucks in... Not sure of the size... I'll report back. Since I quit rig welding I have no use for them really.

WHOOOOO HOOOOOO.......1,521 more miles since last check in on this trip, back at the No Tell Motel for a WiFi connection and some sleep! 99.8 percent trouble free with only my little brake light do-hicky addition coming free leaving me with 'always on' brake lights for a short period.......2 minute fix once noticed and that's it! Home stretch tomorrow, so we should be good if I continue talking nice to her!!

Think I'm keeping it!

I don't think a momentarily schizoid speed sensor(?) and a brake light doohickey thing equals .2

Am I being too generous??
I thought I was being fair.........brake light doohickey equaled two thick match sticks and a half a pcs of duct tape.......
While the momentarily schizoid speed sensor worried me through the first leg, it did only do it twice, within a 2 minute period, at 72 mph........and has yet () to do it again at speeds of 75+.......

It did stall at my cousins house in her driveway in Jersey today......and because you can't pump your own gas in Jersey.....the pump jock with the turban 'did' over fill my tank creating a stink in the cab for 12 miles......but I didn't think those 2 items were worth noting.......

Where should I mark the bar Scouts??
Lot's of mountains tomorrow in the final stretch, taking the short cut!
I'll be happy if the body isn't thrown from the frame on some of the curves involved.........Should we hold off on marking the bar???

Oh no, keep the bar right where it's at but give the whatchamacallits a .0002 percentage. This was Honeydew's first real shake-down run and she's done very well.......... as most Rovers do once their in the right hands. Believe me, Rovers are just as reliable as Chevy's once their neglect and ignorant previous owners are in the rear view mirror......
