HEY DOUG!!
That's the line into the shop......
Yea, that's a hitch mounted swing-away with a wedge lock......He ordered something different, but the hitch not sitting square to the earth, required rework but rather.....I built that for him instead.....I had '1' measurement & 3 photo's to work from.....it couldn't have fit better if it was sitting in my driveway....lol....

Any idea's on my lighting issue??

Thanks sticker fetish Army....

What works and what doesn't? Headlights, brake lights and turn signals only? No interior or running lights? The stalk switches are well known to go Tango Uniform, you can get new - RovahFarm for all your new Land Rover Parts and Accessories A ground connection or two would be my next guess. Interior lights are usually the door switch. Running lights might be a relay so I'll have to dig into the Rave. I'll find the ground connections in the ETM too.

Your above statement is correct.
Interiors....I have those switched to manual (overheads)
No runners, no dash/instruments, no horn but I doubt it's related...
Shift indicator lights working in center console.....

I do have a bank of fuses not getting power, so I'm thinking I'm over looking a relay somewhere........unsure if the switch would cause that....
All fuses under hood are good & power thru-out in that area.

Is the bank of fuses without power related systems?

I'll have to look into that.......Condition started just prior to loosing the brakes, now that I'm trying to sort things out again I'll take a better look at that.....
I'll report back tomorrow........figured is was a relay

I'm getting really good at driving with very limited brakes......need to order the rear calipers now that the weathers getting a tad warmer..........

D2's had a common failure in the fuse block. It is way less common on the D1 but I have seen it a few times over the years.

Engine compartment fuse box - fuse F2/30A, that feeds the main lighting switch and then Fascia fuse box F2/10A and F8/10A.

F2 is gear shift lighting and front left side markers, loops back through the fascia fuse box to the left rear, number plate light, markers, tail lamps. F8 is front right side markers and instrument cluster illumination rheostat and right side rear tail lamps, markers.

Lo and behold the interior lamps are fed by both the Fascia fuse box F2/F8 fuses.

Lets start with just those fuses to see if they're good and have 12VDC.

My guess is that there is a futzed contact at the main light switch (stalk switch block) and it's futzing with the connection to the remaining lights......

As per usual there are several splices in conjunction with just those 3 fuses. I've never had one fail per se but it's another fault prone area in LR wiring.

Thank you Doug.........These checked out fine - Engine compartment fuse box - fuse F2/30A, that feeds the main lighting switch and then Fascia fuse box F2/10A and F8/10A.

So I'm guessing I'm leaning towards the column switch........

Lost track of time yesterday in the shop, I'll check that interior fuse block closer today as a priority...
