Hoops are done need to do the gutter portion and start trimming down the hoops and tacking them in place
A concern would be the amount of space between roof and bottom of rack. Mounting my roof top tent is a son of a gun, l have about two inches between the two surfaces in the rear area of vehicle. When l had the tent mounted in front, the front mounting bolts were piece of cake, sloop of roof in front, but the rear bolts...not so much fun. I'm moving my tent to the rear in the future, so all four mounting areas will be a b****. Kind of a "Catch 22", you want it low, to keep center of gravity as low as possible...but it makes it tough mounting.
I will have about an inch because of the roof ribs. I plan to weld in mounts for all the items that will be up top, fuel cans, treds, water cans and awning. I have a RTT but I will stick to it being the trailer
Got the side rails trimmed up need to clamp them in place so they don’t move on me when I am doing the hoop fitment. I saw something that might work and ordered them we will see where that takes me. Next few days will be no real progress as I am on the road for a few picking up something new to me
Ran out to pick up a cheap Supercharged L322
Taken a couple days to work on the Range Rover it needs a couple things so I can see how it runs and drives before I decide it’s fate.
had some clamps I ordered show up so I gave those a test fit on the defender. This week is light on progress as I have a quick weekend trip planned and I had to do a few things to get ready

Pulled the codes on the Range Rover 😂. Really not to bad 10 codes are for the tpms system. With the fried alternator and dead as a fence post battery I’m curious to see what’s left after I get it repaired
