Need a little help. My 97 D90 Starts then immediately dies. If I hold the key in the crank position, the truck runs well. But, when I let the key go to the "run" positon, truck immediately dies. I just replaced the fuel filter. I cleaned the IACV. Neither seems to change behavior of the starting problem. Thanks!

 

so you have good fuel pressure at the fuel rail? (34-37 psi) the NAS 97 d90 is OBDII any faults in the engine control module?

 

riad13: Thanks for the suggestions. I'll definitely use them in my next trouble shooting.
As it turns out, it was the starter switch. I am back and running!
