Default Range Rover starts then dies

I have a 1996 RR that I haven't drove in about 5 months. I have recently tried to drive it but is keeps dieing. I will start the car and it will run ok for 1 to 2 minutes and the start to die. I try and give it a bit more gas and it struggles then dies. I wait 1 minute, and try starting it again. It will try to run for up to 5 seconds the die again. If I wait for an hour or so to try starting it again, it will do the same thing, run for a few minutes the die.

Any suggestions?

The gas sitting in the tank for 5 months can get unstable.

How much of this old gas is in your tank? 1/4 or 1/2?

I would definetly buy a can of gas stabilizer and also fill up a 5 gallon gas can with premium and put that in the tank to start with.

Was it running just great 5 months prior?

Yes, I had no problems. I will try buying the stabilizer and 5 new gallons of gas,

Should I try and siphon as much of the old gas as I can out prior to adding the new gas?

Default ?

HI, I was wondering if you ever fixed the problem? My 96 RR is doing the exact same thing. I'm thinking it's some sort of a sensor.
