95 discovery starts then dies & I am new to forum
Hi, I have a landrover discovery 95 and am having trouble...
it all started when a friend told me the radiator was leaking and I should not drive it, it seemed to be running fine and it has soooo many miles I always kept the fluids checked and full. Here is what happened next, or what my friend told me they did...
1st problem, leaking radiator – removed radiator and had it repaired. Replaced both nonworking auxiliary fans and then reinstalled radiator.
Vehicle was running well.
2nd problem, engine stalled (this apparantly happened when my friend was driving it onto an on ramp, I think only drove 10 miles at most after replacing the above) – vehicle stalled (and had to be towed), no check engine light. Engine would run briefly, then die. All fuses ok.
Fuel pressure low (~15 psi) – replaced fuel filter. Pressure then ~20 psi, but engine would not start.
Replaced fuel pressure regulator and pressure increased to ~25 psi, but would not start.
Replaced fuel pump and pressure increased to ~35 psi, but would not start.
Replaced inertia cut off switch and engine runs 2 – 3 seconds, but then dies.
Help! any ideas out there? You guys seem to know what you are talking about : )
