Default Central locking issue

I have just inherited my Dad’s 1995 Defender 110. The central locking isn’t working. I’d like to trouble shoot from first principles
, so I’d like to know where the receiver is for the unit to see if it’s receiving a signal - I can then go to checking power to the actuators etc. I have opened the fuse box and found a black unit plugged in with a connector block typesetting. Is this the receiver?

Is this the receiver for the remote?

Googling and searching Rovers North turned up nothing on that number.

Looked through John Craddock and Rimmer Brothers parts supply and searched that number, and only came up with wiring harnesses for CL doors.

Checked my LR Defender repair manual (1983 -1995) and it showed nothing in the wiring diagrams for Central Locking Door system.

EDIT: defendersource.com is a great wealth of knowledge for defenders.
