Default Couple of questions on tires and towing from a newbie.

I confess I am new to this forum and getting ready to purchase my first Defender 110 (1993). It has a 300 TDi engine and has been a dream car of mine for many years. I will be using it as a daily driver and for some of my flyfishing and wingshooting outfitting trips with clients. I had a couple of questions that seem to be varying in answers on the web. If I need to look in previously answered threads, please let me know. Thanks in advance for your help!

1. What is the maximum towing capacity for the Defenders?
2. What size tires can I run (I have run Mickeys for years) with it stock versus a 2" OME lift?

Any other advice?

Thanks,
Chris

These are NAS standards for towing, link below, but everything else searched said about the same thing, for towing on road. Off road, max was 7700 lbs...but l believe that is in low range.

NAS Defender Help Table of Contents

Tire size for non lifted 110 would be in the 235/85 or 265/75 range. Have 285/75's on my 110 with 2" OME lift and they clear everything fine...except for hard-full lock...where they rub the radius arms lightly.

Congrats on your future purchase. Post up some pictures, once you get it.
