Default Ex-MOD Defenders

Hi all, newbie here. I’ve been looking at former UK Army Defenders as well as Aussie MOD types.

I read the “primer” on importing to the US and wondered if the Wolf refurbishment would make these vehicles ineligible for import due to not being stock (regardless of meeting the 25 year requirement).

Thanks in advance for any input and education.

I just bought a 1986 LR 110 ex. MOD that was successfully imported into the US in the last year or so and registered in Vermont.

I believe as long as the frame is original, engine/trans original or same as original and vin tage matches frame rail vin number...you are okay. Modifications (bolt on accessories, winch bumper, lights, etc) or being refurbished (interior, exterior panels, doors, paint, etc) shouldn't matter...as long as they didn't change any of the previously mentioned items.

But, for better info...go ask the same question at defender source.

Good luck.
