Default How far gone is too far gone?

Hey guys. Ive just found and been offered a 1991 90 in pretty terrible condition and wondering is there a point where its literally 'past the point of rescue'. Chassis gone, bulkhead on way out. Footwell rotten. Bodywork pretty straight but the bits that could rot did pretty dramatically! Is it worth saving?

In a sorry looking state

Looks like more money and effort than it's worth.

If it is cheap enough it might be good for a parts/donor vehicle...

Guy wants 2k for it. Needs chassis, bulkhead and probably lots more. Thought best to leave it but since then I've purchased a 90 with full mot and driving that will need tidying but is sound and a less challenging proposition.
