New 90 Owner - 1986 - WTH Is this ****?

Sorry for the quick question, but I can't figure out what this **** is (shows up in the center of the front console, right-hand drive model from UK military).

Maybe some sort of two-way radio system? Pull panel down and look at wiring, might explain system.

Looks to be the headlight switch called out above - thank you! Now to see if I have the infra-red option ;-)
