Side lights on with ignition on

Side lights on with ignition on
Hi all,
Does anybody have any clues as to why...….when I put the ignition on, I automatically have dash lights on and side lights on even though the actual light switch is in the off position ?
I have recently put a new indicator/lights/windscreen wiper complete set on !
