Default $232.00 1,000 mile report

Yes I put over 1,000 on the new radiator and the HIGHEST was today at 212 deg for about 10 seconds sitting in traffic in Augusta. Drove about 1/2 mile and back to 199 to 201. Outside temp according to the bank was 103 deg.
Night time never see over 182 deg most f the time it is between 175 and 194 depending on time of day.
Was worth the effort to change the water pump, belts, hoses, radiator, stat.
Will now finish restoring it and doing FUN things like an updated stereo and such.

I'd add a bottle of water wetter to help keep those temps down in traffic. You could even run 100% distilled and water wetter if temps don't get near freezing for even better cooling.

I'll be interested to see the long term report. Sounds good so far.

Yup, the >=5 year report will be the real test.
If they fail before 5 years then they wouldn't be a good buy. Failure at 5 years would be about break even compared to a recore.

LOL I do not keep cars for 5 years unless they are in the collection. I am sending the old one out for a check-up and see what the $$$ will be. Will keep for a spare and If I sell MJ will pass it on.
