100 amp fuse melted and no radio
Hello Roverines,
I have a 96 disco and have owned for 14 years. Never had problems with it other than it never passes emmissions and there are electrical gremlins.
The 100 amp fuse melted and burned the 60 amp fuse too. The battery was completly drained as well. Also, my rear view mirror was removed inproperly causing the radio not to work.
Did the removal of the rear view mirror have something to do with this?
Well I'm stuck in the driveway until then.

The 100 amp is in series between the plus battery and the output of the alternator.
The 60 amp fuse link - there are several of them - which one?
See attached wiring diagram from the RAVE.
Shorted starter or solenoid?
One way to troubleshoot is to place a tail light bulb in series with + battery terminal. It will glow bright with high amp load. Unplug things at fuse panel to narrow it down.
