The battery went flat on my Disco so it was removed and recharged. When connecting it up the alarm goes off and will not stop. Have tried key in the door re-set (x turns to the left, y turns to the right etc) and tried leaving the alarm sounding, get in the seat, close door, insert key and turn to the 'ii' position. Nothing turns the alarm off. I don't know if the door key is worn and therefore not responding to the security turns, or of the ignition key is worn and therefore not stopping the alarm.

Any ideas on how to stop the alarm sounding?

 

Make sure you push down on hood alarm switch while hooking battery up.
