1996 Disco 1 Roto-flex is getting fired!
I am ready to can that roto-flex, mine is all cracked and old. I was at my local salvage yard today and grabbed the rear shaft off of a 1997 (the single u-joint type) thinking it would bolt up (why wouldn't it? this is a perfect world....right?) anyway, I knew it was too good to be true.
If I take the part of the drive shaft that bolts on to the pinion at the rear diff, from the 1997, will it fit on my 1996? thus allowing me to bolt the new drive shaft on?

It will fit, but you will need a flange spacer to make the '97 flange fit. This> http://www.roverparts.com/Parts/539745
IDK if this link > https://discoweb.org/oldsite/ is going direct to TECH. If it isn't CLICK "Tech" at the top, then on the left scroll down to "Rotoflex to U-joint conversion"
