Default 1996 Land Rover runs great won't always start

My 1996 Land Rover will not start after having a new starter and battery installed. It runs great just won't always start. It is at the dealership and even they can't seem to figure this out.

Pretty basic - needs spark and fuel. If it was at home, check fuel pressure on injector rail passenger side "tire valve" fitting, 32-34 PSi when pump runs. Check for no spark by attaching a spare plug and lay on mainifold. No spark is most likely crank position sensor. They could also do a visual check for bent reluctor tabs, but that should have misfires.

LR dealer? And they can't figure out a D1?

No fuel and it's possible your problem could be the immobilizer.. The circuit board gets cold solder joints and then the fuel pump intermittantly won't run. Turn the key on and listen for the fuel pump to run...

Good Luck
