Mine had no screens on the old 4.0 inj and the good used 4.6 injectors I installed when I did the hg's and stroker. No issues thus far, but will change out my fuel filter more often now because of this. I run SeaFoam regularly in the fuel (about every 3 months).

I run Seafoam as well. The screens have a cup shape and fit inside the injector inlet.
