1997 Land Rover Discovery XD Special Edition Fuel Tank Vent Hose
My 1997 Land Rover Discovery XD Special Edition has fuel leak somewhere as it always smells fuel at the rear and gets worse when the engine is on or driving. After some research I thought the fuel smell was due to the cracking fuel tank 3/4 vent hose like lots of people experienced, so I decided to go ahead replace the vent hose. However, after I lower down the fuel tank, I didn't find any 3/4 vent hose connects to the top of the fuel tank. There's only the fuel pump assembly that sits in the center of the fuel tank top, on which there are two hard fuel lines, the electrical connectors, and a small rubber hose that connects to a plastic nipple on top of the fuel pump assembly (I believe it is the bleeding hose) with the other end route to the passenger side fuel tank filler assembly. But there is NO 3/4 vent hose found anywhere on the top of the fuel tank.
The other thing I found at the top right corner (passenger side near to filler hose assembly) of the fuel tank, there is one rubber hose that connects to a hard twist plastic hose then to a kind of filter like thing right beside the fuel filler assembly. I don't know what that it as it didn't show on most of the Discovery fuel tank system diagram. But it looks like a vent for the fuel tank. I have attached a photo here. Can someone familiar to this take a look at it and let me know?
Many thanks!

Ah! That's an AEL setup technically a 98 thing, but 97 was a 50/50 thing with them being AEL or non AEL. The AEL setup has the larger square charcoal canister under the hood and more of a D2 style gas tank and yes no 3/4 line hose on those. Just the main fuel filler hose inlet, and that small line in the picture with the curve in it. That small rubber line in the picture should go to the fuel canister
