Hey everyone, I'm finally removing my fuel tank to get some room to weld up my rusted out frame in the back.
I've got the harness + fuel line disconnected via the trunk
Disconnected the filler hose & breather hose
Removed the left side of the tow bar
You can see there's still a bolt "in the way" in this shot but the fuel tank never gets low enough to even touch it. But I don't see what's blocking it. Should I just yank it down now? Which side / corner should I pull down from?
Thanks!! I know what you're thinking, "Why bother? That frame is perfectly fine!"
I just dropped my fuel tank. I had to remove both tow hitch bars and you will need to pop that bolt out. Pull down from the drivers side, it will be a little tight but it will side right out.
OK, but be aware there are 3 hoses on the filler side, the large filler No 22, a breather No 26and another No24, that has a plastic clip you need to squeze to get off, it abouve the filler hose onto the side of the body

OK will give this a shot -- that bolt really doesn't want to come out (square wrench, socket, impact, PB plaster, butane torch) so I may need to go grab a propane torch, weld something to it or even cut it off. Good to know there's nothing else blocking it besides these items!

I will check for this. Mine is a North American and I think this is only on the non-NA models but at 20 years old and many owners who knows what parts have been mixed & matched!
