1997 land rover won't start
My 97discovery land rover won't turn over runs great park it when was raining and went to start it nothing but all lights work but no power to crank motor clicking sound glovebox need to jump from starter or what need back on road have 3 little kids please help
I would start with checking fuses, then lightly tap on starter while having someone turn it over and if neither worked I would suspect crank sensor. Not to hard on the starter though you can damage it (as if you were cracking a pecan with a hammer). If it happens to be the starter you will want to get one soon...it may work again but, it's on it's way out.
I agree with the security suggestion, mines done this......sometimes I remove the key and start over..........fires right up......other times it's left me sitting.......Love to bypass that security system!!
Could be a dead battery, easy to check, and you don't need to crawl under the truck. try using another vehicle to jump start it, if that doesn't work, then move to other checks. Make sure ground is clean and has a good connection. Try a jumper cable between engine block and body. Been there...
Long time no see brother geek_IM. This was stolen from the "Tech Section". Thought it might get asked about sooner but I guess everybody's out Christmas shopping...... https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...sco-tip-55071/
