1998 Disco no spark issues

Finally got my boneyard engine overhauled to replace the engine that broke the connecting rod and took out the cam and block, ready to start. Alas, I could not get it started, no spark. Stayed up until 4:30 trying to search threads to find out why. Went back today and found some worn insulation on crank sensor pigtail. Ah ha, I have harness to rob pigtail from boneyard engine, too bad it's just as bad. Repaired wiring and tried again, still no spark. Checked relays in inner fender, ok. Pulled ECM and found good size hole in case and white powder coming out of hole like a salt shaker. Think I found my problem!

I checked fire again today, and I don't get fire on 1 & 6, and all the others show to cut out under throttle while watching the timing light. I can see a 1 to 2 second delay in firing on each plug. I can't find anyone that has a fuel pressure gage that will fit a land rover, but I checked with a tire gage and it showed 35psi, but I couldn't tell if it fluxuates under throttle. Looks like I still have a firing issue. This thing is a bugger!!

We'll I installed another ECM and finally got it started for a minute or so, until it died again. Now I get the red led light flashing when locking/unlocking doors with key (no remote was given when I bought the truck). Had a couple codes in ECM, but now the CEL does not light when key is turned on as self check. Can the inexpensive scanner pair the alarm and ECM?

No, only Testbook 4 can pair the two and maybe Autologic. Any chance you can snag the alarm unit that was paired to the ECU you picked up? The fact that the drivers door lock is enabling/disabling the alarm is not a bad sign but the CEL not coming on is. That's a key factor. What year Disco?
