Your problems have not gone away. The digital temp gauge will sho it hotter than you might like. If you have noises like bubbles under the dash rushing thru pipes that can be exhaust gas (HG, cracked block). Very common for HG problems and overheating, engines are not very happy with overheat and will fail rapidly. Not like an old cast iron Ford.

Rover maniac have you compression tested and block tested yet? If r/r of most of cooling system has taken place and problem still persists looking for bad heads may be in your future.

Same for you ron6977. The head gasket sealant magic stuff may mask the problem or cause more problems, should look into a head job with the rave and good cleaning as u go along the job can be done by yourself carefully and correctly in about week. This is the higher end for a DIY guy.

Well got my pressure problem figured out. Drivin home the lower hose Went on it. I mean it was so loud i had flash backs.
The wrecker driver said that my bad HG was the culprit to the pressure build up. Could that be right?

Yes, quit driving it before you fry it.

My physical Limitations wont allow me to do that type of work. Theres only one place near me that works on rovers, but not my type of beat up junker.
I had to buy this vehicle out of necessity back in July, i didnt want it, but ive grown to love it.
