here is a good option get her to get the springs, OME or RTE, and you get the shocks. or tell her you appreciate her getting the other kit but the experts say it isn't worth it and you would rather have a higher quality one and you'll pay the difference. heck she might just say she will get the better one for you, its like asking without really asking.

no one wants to get someone something they don't want, and I think most people understand when you are droping that much money on something you want it to be quality or else you are just wasting money. either way you have $500 toward a lift kit.
