This is true. Thank you both. They're checking to see what they have in either 235/85 or 245/75.

Mine came with 235/85 and I swapped to 245/75 with a passenger rating to get a little better mileage and acceleration. Didn't really do much for either. The 245/75 is adequate with a OME HD lift, but my next tire will be a 255/85. Instead of more suspension, I think I will try to fab up a 1'' body lift. And for lost power either get a used 1.41 TC or rebuild and re-gear mine. 255/85 I think can be done that way with minimal trimming.

Well I'm at Discount Tire now waiting for them to test mount a 235/85 BFG AT KO. We'll see.

BTW Eric, much of my wheeling WILL be on sand! I'll just air the hell out of them. No biggie.

Should only take minimal trimming.

Eric that is a really sweet set up. Where did you find those wheels?

I run a 2 inch lift and 245/75 and I really wish I had gone with the 235/85. I think those are a great sweet spot. I've been thinking about the 255-85 too but I had worried they would be too much. Plus I hate mud tires. I wish you had taken a pic. Wouldn't mind seeing how the 2" lift and the 255 looked.

They're used on NATO military Wolf Defenders. Both AB and RN sell them. They're 6.5 inches wide though. Perfect for skinny tires, but not anything over 255.
