Exclamation 95 D1 head gaskets

Hey guys, I am about to put the heads back on the disco. I feel stupid asking, but the headgaskets(BGA from Rovahfarm) are not stamped with any markings to tell which way they go on. Old ones obviously stamped with "top" on them. These new ones are not...One side has small bead of red sealant on outer edge of coolant passages front and rear. Do these go to block or head side? Anybody know? PLease help THANKS

atlanticbritish told me that the " red" faces up toward the head., it hardly seems that there is enough there to make any difference though doesnt it

Just to make sure, did you buy new head bolts?

As a standard practice, whenever I have a question of that nature I call the vendor that I purchassed the item from. I prefer to get their input since they provided me the part and they are the ones I will be calling if and when any problem pops up with something I purchased from them. If they cannot answer it or there is a lack of confidence, they quickly drop off of my "Approved Vendor List".

That is the same rationale I learned and used as a Quality Professional in our countries Aerospace and Defense Industry.

Yeah, I tried calling Trevor @ Rovahfarm on saturday, but no answer or callback.. I gambled and placed gaskets "red" side up. So hoping that is the correct direction.... @ Disco mike, YES, absolutely got new headbolts...The last 90 degrees of torque is very "fun"....
