The linkages connect to the levers on the shifter and the transfer case genius.

For anyone else interested i got the info from a dealer.diff lock lever on transfer case is in open in the picture.The picture showing the hi/low lever on the transfer case is in hi. thanks.

The official Land Rover workshop manual identifies the **** inside the truck as the transfer gearbox LEVER.

I'm gonna make an educated guess that you were involved in a few of the train wrecks in this forum.Whether your buddies were behind your opinion or not doesn't make your opinion right.I am hopeful that this is not another good ole boys forum where the older members treat newer members like this guy is.

read that real close(the manual not this pic from the manual) it says the lever will turn on the warning light.You said it right there the lever on the transfer case is the LEVER that activates the switch.There is no wiring in the SHIFTER inside the truck.

A lever is anything that you gain leverage from ie the lever held on by the nut to switch from locked to free.
