just bought a cheap 95 disco to use in rebuild of my other 95 disco. The windows will not roll up! check switches good! motors maybe? any way due it is a parts car can you manually roll these windows up. I am gonna tear down rover and then send shell to junk yard! i would like to keep parts car dry from rain during this process. HELP! Thanks

 

Do the rear windows on the good Rover work?
If so just swap the window lift ecus for half a minute, roll up the windows on the donor and then swap them back.
The window lift ecu is behind the glove box, the solder joints crack and then the windows wont work.
Resolder the cracked joints and they will work again.
Its a 15 min repair.

It's a black plastic box. You will be looking at it from the end. it is about an inch wide and about 4 inches tall (I think). It is just a plastic box with a plastic end cap in it. You just pop that cap off and pull out the board.
