Default 95 Discovery won't start

Hi Guys

I have a 95 Discovery with a 3.9L V8. It had a head gasket leaking. I replace the head gaskets. I finished it today. When it started it ran for a few minutes and died. All it is doing is cranking over. I am getting fuel and getting spark. I am lost. Do you guys have any ideas I can try? Also does anyone have a good vacuum diagram for the Discovery?

Thank You
Walter

There is a schrader valve on the fuel rail that you test fuel pressure with.
It has a cap on it, it looks like a tire valve.

Default Key in Ignition Switch

HI

I have a 95 Discovery and the key will not come out of the ignition switch. when you turn the to when you push the key in to turn it the rest of the way to take it out of the switch it will not turn. If you unhook the battery the switch works fine. Do you guys have any ideas?

Thank You

Yes, this one is easy.
Pop the trim piece off of the top of the transmission gear shifter and tighten the nut inside the shift ****.
You cannot remove the key because the truck does not think you are all the way in park.
Tighten that nut and then it will go all the way into park and the key will come out.

After you do that try and start it.

Default The Back Side of Intake Gasket

Hi Guys

Tonight I went out to try and start the 95 Discovery to see if it starts. Turned the key and the motor made a boom. I looked to see what it was and the back side of the Intake gasket came apart. This is the 3rd time this happened on this motor. Do you guy have any ideas why this is blowing the back side of the gasket?

Thank You
Walter
