i have a 96 auto that when driving losses power and the speedo doesnt work right also. its been sitting for 2.5yrs i just got out of prison and need it to run i believ it might be the speed sensor were are these and are they the same as a manual as this is my 1st auto i have a few 5spd part trucks around please help 3'' lift 255/85 if that will help

 

Mounted to transfer case output housing near tranny brake backplate on drivers side. Tight spot. One allen head bolt. If your other parts trucks have their transfer cases your back in business.

The 3" lift on 255's won't help me but it'll sure help you to get under the truck.

 

The speed sensor is number one suspect, the ECU thinks you are driving faster than take off velocity. If you can't get it swapped, might try driving with it unplugged to see if the sputtering goes away.

 

thanks i had a few cases laying around i never knew that was speed sensor i should have it together tommorrow its been a nightmare i forgot how much i loved british vehicals and there problems power steering whining bad gotta love lucas oil, again thanks for the help.
