Default 96 Disco1 P1313 & P1314 codes?

I have 96 Disco 1 check engine light came on with these codes P1313, P1314. The car starts and runs fine until car comes up to operating temp and then it starts to miss and run rough. Previous to this we had a code of P0340 camshaft postion sensor, replaced with a used one and code did not come back. Here is my question: is there something with the temperature that is affecting the way it runs, due to the fact that it runs when temp is low. Any help would be appreciated!

Crank shaft sensor.
Vehicle speed sensor.
Plug wires.
Coils.
Any number of things.

I have read threads on the crankshaft sensor and the vss so another question to hopefully wittle it down. If its the crankshaft sensor would the truck even start? If I understnd correctly it wont start if that is bad.?? Also, we have thought about the vss, but the car is not evn moving when the issue occurs. I start it, it runs good until it comes to normal operating temperature, and then it starts missing. thanks for your reply, any more insight would be extremely helpful.

Yes the "A" typical crank sensor failure is a total non start when hot.
If it is happening when not moving then it's not the VSS.

Plugs, plug wires, coils, temp sensor, vacuum leak injectors...

What have you done to it to try and cure it other than a cam sensor?

Check all sensors and wiring very carefully. Keep an eye out for other codes as well. Check all vacuum lines and intake assembly carefully as well. Clean your MAF carefully as part of your tune-up procedure. Remove bell housing inspection plate to check for bent reluctor tabs. Check for clogged or broken CATs.

I had repetive 1314 codes for over a year. I finally did a very thorough cleaning of the entire plenum passages where the IACV and the vacumn hoses all connect and the problem has not resurfaced since.

Some have even removed the plenum to accomplish a good cleaning. A gun cleaning kit wth the little brushes is an excellent way to clean the ports I am talking about. I used multiple q-tips and throttle body cleaner spray. The passages tend to get clogged pretty badly the way they recirculate the oily fumes back thru the intake.

Also, those hoses tend to decompose internally. Each hose is a ifferent size on each end, so the best replacement is to get the correct part number preformed hoses. I got mine from AB after trying generic hose and still having vacumn leaks.
