Default '96 Discovery with alarm issues and won't start?

Today, my battery died but someone came to jump me off. But, in the midst of this, I locked my keys in my car... With no spare I had no other choice but to smash one of the little back triangle windows out...

Then the alarm went off, and wouldnt let me start my car...

This is the only car I have, I am a single mother with two jobs I dont know what to do... Help?

It is a '96 Discovery 1. When I bought it about a month ago, it had two keys with it...
One for the doors and then one for the ignition. No remote, no nothing. To unlock the driver door, you have to hold the key in the unlock position and open the handle at the same time. Just figured that would help.

Basically my question is, what do I need to do in order to get it functioning again?

Try locking and unlocking the driver door three times. This is supposed to disable the alarm and the immobilizer.

Cycling the ignition on and off several times will usually work. Turn it to run, wait 30 seconds and repeat. Once the ECU and alarm recognize each other you should get the check engine light to illuminate with the key on. If you do not get the CE light with the key in the run position(bulb test) most likely you will not be getting this truck started. Avoid disconnecting the battery in an attempt to reset the system, the system is designed to return to the same state it was in when power was interrupted. You run the risk of it locking you out completely.

With the door key, make sure you turn it from the locked position all the way back to the unlocked position, and then to center.
