97 D1 fuel pump which one?
Hello all,
Another new guy question about fuel pumps. I searched the threads and it appears that there are two different type of fuel pumps, an expensive one ($400 +) and a less expensive one ($75). Ours has two electrical plugs recessed into the top of the fuel pump with what appears to be a vacuum (?) connection. So I'm guessing that it is the AEP type. What is the best source for a replacement unit?
Our fuel pump operates, but the two metal fuel line connections extending out of the top are severely corroded. Most likely these metal connections will fail when I attempt to disconnect the fuel lines. I'm pulling the pump to investigate a nonoperational fuel gauge.
Thanks for any advice, KC
