Default 97 Disco Stalls

97 Disco, 130K,no mods. intermittently stalls typically on the freeway. Never when cold
Throws codes for:
cylinder misfire in 3 or 4.
P1316 excessive emissions fault
P0183 Fuel temp circuit A high
I have Replaced plugs, leads and coil pack.
The enine runs like: run! stall for three seconds then run! stall for three seconds. The engine runs very smoothly, has a nice idle and generally purrs except for this cutting out problem.
Where should I look next? Fuel related? Blocked cat?
I love this truck and any help would be much appreciated. I have all the factory workshop literature.
Thnks for your consideration.

When you say stall does it actually stall or does it return to idle?
Right now my bet is on a bad TPS.
Second would be a bad VSS.

Probably returns to idle, hard to tell on the freeway, the tach drops theres no power. Of course it wont do it at idle and it wont do it in my driveway with me gassing it.

Im guessing the VSS cant be simply unplugged to test the theory? Will the rig run without this reference?

Bad TPS (throttle position sensor), you can buy one at almost any autoparts store, takes 5 min to swap out.
This is a common DI problem.

Yes it will run but you will not know how fast you are going so use a GPS or application on smart phone that can tell you your speed.
