Default 97' Seafoam now dead

I have a 97' Disco and seafoamed the engine yesterday through the intake.... After I got it cranked back up It ran perfectly (Minus the smoke)..... I go out today to start her up and it turns over fine but will not fire up. I sprayed starter fluid in the intake and it turned over for just a sec.

HELP PLEASE....

Did you seafoam the gas too? Or just induction into the upper intake?

I'm not a seafoam fan because I had a similar experience (got misfires after seafoam) but if it turns over with starter fluid that's stumps me a little. I am a D2 guy and if it was a D2 I'd say the failure to start and the seafoam are disconnected and to be sure the inertia switch didn't get jostled.

No Seafoam in the gas tank .... This time. I have in the past. Just the intake hose.
Turns over and over and over but will not fire up. It will with starter fluid.
Inertia switch??

It is a little switch that trips if you have an accident or you bump it with your elbow. It cuts off the fuel pump. I'm not sure a D1 has one but I bet it does. The other thing that cuts off the fuel is the crank sensor. But I can't imagine why your crank sensor would suddenly die from seafoam.

Really I'm not a fan of seafoam just because a clean engine seems to cuase me issues. Hopefully some more knowledgeable person will chime in. I did it once and just didn't do it again. I bet others have done it multiple times.

You sir saved me from a bunch of swearing and unnecessary anguish. I tapped the battery leads setting down a screwdriver during my endeavor and lo and behold...... The Inertia switch flipped.

Many thanks, the Disco is ready to rumble again
