Default Just used a can of seafoam and now I get a p0430 code

Put a bottle of sea foam in my tank that was half full, drove it until the gas light came
on and refueled. Shortly after I refueled the check engine light came on so I went to autozone to have the code read and they gave me the p0430 code.. I know what the code means I'm just wondering if it was the seafoam that did it or what?

Help me out here, what's the code mean?
Could be crappy gas, too.

Default P0430

"Catalyst efficiency low bank 2"

They told me it was my catalytic converter

Yep. Could be that all that smoke coated the catalyst and it's not quite up to snuff. Maybe after a while it'll burn off and return to normal. The catalyst is probably at the fringe of being good anyway, and the magic seafoam treatment from heaven was enough to tip it over the scales.

Both my cats get the same code. It is an alert, doesn't make your Disco run in Limp mode.. The fix is a $550 Y-pipe with new catalytic converters ...or look past the yellow check engine light.

If he put the sea foam in his gas tank, He wouldn't get the smoke, right? See if it clears itself after another tank. Or are you able to reset the CEL to see if it comes back?

Yes I put it in my tank, and there was no smoke that I am aware of. And no, I'm not able to reset the CEL at the moment. I noticed a hard grinding noise coming from the front passenger wheel. I jacked it up and spun the wheel by hand and it still grinds. I was going to take my wheel off but the socket I have doesn't work so I'll need to pick up a 27mm one? But I'm not going to drive it until I figure out that noise

My bad, I misread your post (thought you did the seafoam 'treatment'). Need to pay attention better.
