I have a 98 Discovery 1 that runs rough when the engine is cold or after sitting for a few. It does have the classic lifter tick. I just bought it and it needed a fuel pump. So I did that and it starts up Everytime. I have spark on all cylinders.

It runs really nice after being ran for a few minutes. I was suspicious of a stuck closed injector. I put seafoam in the oil and the gas tank half and half. It takes less time now for the rough running condition to disappear now. Any suggestions?

 

any codes?
check the spark plugs, spark plug wires for cracks
coil packs can crack causing misfire (especially when moist out) until warm
clean the intake and MAF, check the PCV hoses from the valve covers for cracks
at 123000 I have not had an issue with an injector.

 

IT WAS A FREAKING BROKEN FAN BLADE😂 I don't know how two broken radiator fan blades got broke but they were...I replaced the fan and it ran Soo smooth. Wild thing that I've never seen before
