Question ABS linked to faulty alternator?

Interesting events for 3 people I know with Discovery 1 models of different years. Each had the ABS light on and would not go off.

All three people had their alternators rebuilt, or replaced and the ABS error light went off...

Could it be chance or is there something to this?

I highly doubt there is any connection, my ABS light was on for years, alt was good.
It is possible, but I would not bet the farm on it.
