Default ABS Modulator Build

I've searched the forum to see if this has come up before, but haven't found much. I recently used the linked youtube videos (credit: Toni Bendetto) to build an oscillator/modulator to cycle the abs system while bleeding brakes. A bunch of old cruddy fluid came out of the ABS module. I was initially hunting down a soft pedal (separate issue) and decided to clear the ABS system at the same time. Worked great!

If anyone wants a more detailed explaination of the build I can write one up since the video skips some details.

Thanks for the info about ABS modulator flushing.

You might be interested in my post in the Sticky So what did you do to your Disco today (26 June 2025). I solved the problem of the ABS actuating during slow speed braking with rolling wheels, and ABS warning light. New ABS sensors have much stronger magnets than the old sensors. So the new sensors are more sensitive at low speed than the old sensors. Photo in the sticky demonstrates the magnetism.
