My leak is in the same exact area as yours.
Still looking for that 8mm splice kit with m luck. Where did you get yours from?

Thanks!

I started out with buying an 8 mm splice, and figured out it wouldn't work.the hose I got was for a 5/16 line, which is a touch smaller than the 8mm I ended up using the inside ferrules and spacer from the 8mm splice on the hose and it worked great.

I got everything from Amazon, Hose was $22
Amazon Amazon

and the splice was $29
Amazon Amazon

even with buying both items it was much less expensive than a replacement line which I found for $144 I figured I would have to take most of the front end apart to get to the connector on the condensor and with the brush guard on my truck being so rusted, it wasn't going to happen. this did the trick and so far is holding up good. I did use one of those green scrubbie things on the line to clean it and get a good seal You do have to move the coolant tank out of the way to get at everything but that is only 3 bolts.

Very cool,
My replacement section is identical to yours so these provided links are exactly what I need to get the AC operating.

Thank you very much!

** Update***
it finally got almost warm enough to crank up the A/C today. Thought i'd give it a try and see if the hose repair was working. Glad to say I got cold air from th A/C so I guess it is sealed a year later!! Good News!

Congrats!
After our communication last year I did the same exact repair.
Took a $10 harbor freight tire pump and reversed it to a vacuum pump, bought the a gauge set and all was good.
Now I am looking forward to getting cold air too!

Congrats on the cold air.
Thanks to your post I was able to do the same exact post and still got cold air coming out on a day like today with temps in the mid 80s.
