Default Aftermarket Stereo Install Issues, No Ignition Power

Hey everyone, so I have read every single thread about installing an aftermarket stereo and was ready for amp problems etc etc, but my first issue is that I have no power! So when I test the 12V memory wire, i get 12V read on the voltmeter so that one is good, I also tested ground so I know that works. However, the orange/green ignition 12V does not have any power. I traced it down into the passenger glovebox area and can see that it disappears into a massive bundle of wires and cant follow it from there. It does not seem to actually run to the amp, so I am guessing it runs right to the fuse box. Is this a known problem? Is there anything I can do short of running a new wire? And if I have to run a new wire, is there an easier way to do it? (say by tapping another wire in the passenger glove box that also runs off 12V accessory?)

Thanks in advance everyone, this forum has been extremely helpful on my restoration so far. Pics of the mess of wires wouldnt help much, but heres a pic of the truck just for fun.
