Yes....But I still hear air in the heater core. Should I let the vehicle sit overnight with the funnel full of coolant with the vehicle off to purge the air? I just do not understand why this air is still in the system. I see very few bubbles coming out now, just very very small occasionally which could be from the seal on the funnel itself. I do see coolant flow and did see some corrosion on the radiator which has been rodded out before and recently back flused. My damn brake light switch went out while working on it too. Lucky me as it is stuck in park and I had to jump the switch via the instructions on Atlantic British website to get it out to the way to get to my ford which is apparently not a fix or repair daily.

If you go after it, and it looks good, you're halfway to headgaskets, do it right and you'll probably never do it again. (on this truck)

Got the 98 DI put back together. Here are some pics of the tear down. Radiator was also clogged and was rodded out at radiator shop. It appears the coolant passages at the rear of the engine dont flow into the intake manifold as it is "blanked off" on the intake. This is probably were it was leaking due to the excessive pressures and markings seen on the gasket. I didn't have to remove the "ram" portion of the intake as Rave instructed me to do. I removed the bolts, but the seal was so good, I didn't want to mess with it. I didn't have to remove the valve cover to get the intake on, just loosened it up....I did end up removing the valve cover to reseal gasket. Watch out for those washers as they are actually in the valve cover gasket holes and will fall off when you remove the gasket!
