Default Akebono brake pads front and rear?

Hello,

Just a quick question regarding brake pads. I was going to purchase the Akebono brand but was puzzled with two different looking brake pad sets that fit my 1997 Discovery 1.

I see the Akebono EUR520 (front?) and the Akebono EUR518 (rear?).

Do I require both models, one set for the front and one set for the rear, or is it the EUR520's or EUR518's all around?

Cheers

Yeah I just put a set on my 96. 520's are for the front, euro518 for the rear. you'll have to just cut the pad sensor wire that comes made into the new pads if your D1 doesn't support it. great pads!

Yes, whenever you buy brake pads you must buy the set for the axle you need them for, front and rears are different.

I tried Akebono on my rear brakes and I found they squealed on and off quite a bit and for the price I had paid for them it wasn't worth it.

I then went to the TRW's which are OEM, much cheaper and I have not had any issues.

Just my experience.
